Founder Lindsay McNamara has been birding since she was nine years old when she saw her first Great Blue Heron along the Raritan River.

She has led bird walks since 2018 for groups like American Littoral Society, Bergen County Audubon Society, National Audubon Society, New Jersey Audubon Society, NJ Emerging Conservation Professionals, Raritan Headwaters Association, and Raven Crest Botanicals in New Jersey, New York, and Virginia.
